I like playing it with a pedal for dirt--and it's very pedal friendly--simply because it's too loud to play it "natural" for the kinds of places I play. While the V-series were not designed by Jess Oliver, Ampeg's early roots dating a bass-player's company seemed to have found their way into these designs. Guitar low-end combo combo amps is really outstanding.
